REVIEW: The most interesting thing about this book is the historical part of it. Can Cussy Mary overcome the prejudice? This book is a book of historical fiction and is inspired by the true blue skinned people. Nicknamed Bluet, the people of KY group her in with Colored people and blame her and her family for anything that has gone wrong around them. However, Cussy Mary is not accepted because of the color. She delivers books and reading materials to impoverished patrons throughout the week, riding on her mule. She becomes a librarian with the Pack Horse Library Project.
